Like many girls I wanted to be a lot of things when I was little. I always loved fashion and interiors but I chose to head to University to pursue a career in journalism and marketing.
With degree in hand I worked in marketing and communication roles but fashion threw me a curve ball and I ended up moving to Auckland to work as an assistant fashion buyer and much later a fashion stylist before love conquered all and I moved back to Hamilton to keep on styling (both fashion and events), build a nest and start a family.
I grew up watching Jem & The Holograms wearing jelly sandals and listening to Orinoco Flow
I’m a New Zealander of Maori and Scottish descent
I don’t like blue cheese or black jellybeans
I had terrible acne throughout my young adult life
I still love a ‘classy’ Rum & Coca-cola
Auction sites are my guilty pleasure – Hello Trade Me!
My first paid job was milking cows when I was 15
I love monkeys, like the real-life ones and…
These monkeys (L – R): My rock (& hubby) Joe, little squish Costa and fur babies Ziggy & Luca
I also have everlasting love for my angel baby Penny. She is a huge part of how this blog came to be and why it still stands and to that end I like to believe that she is the driving force behind it.
And these things aren’t too shabby either
